For the Topping:
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of butter
6 tablespoons of cocoa
2/3 cup of flour

Allow the butter to soften.
Prepare an eight inch square pan by greasing it or by lining it with parchment paper or waxed paper.
Using a good mixer, thoroughly combine the sugar and oil.
Add the eggs and continue beating the mixture. When the mixture is creamy, incorporate the vanilla, salt and butter. Mix.
In a separate bowl, thoroughly combine the flour and cocoa together. When combined, stir it into the egg mixture by hand. Avoid over mixing.
Pour the brownie batter into your prepared pan.
Using a separate bowl, prepare the topping. Add all three ingredients together. Mix to bind. Spread this evenly over top of the brownie batter.
Bake your sweet and salty brownies in the preheated oven until done. This should take about half an hour to thirty-five minutes. Test for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center. The toothpick will come out dry when the brownies are baked.
