Salsa with Chocolate Chips Recipe
Ingredients
Chips:
1 teaspoon of chili powder
1 teaspoon of cocoa powder
3 tablespoons melted butter
.6 ounce or 15 grams of 70% melted, dark chocolate
6 Asian spring-roll wrappers (available in Asian stores or supermarkets)
Salsa
6 strawberries
1/4 pineapple
1 mango
12 mint leaves
Honey as desired
Method
Preheat the oven to 350°F or 180°C. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with waxed paper or parchment paper.
Place all chip ingredients except spring roll wrappers in a bowl. Use a spoon to mix them together. When well blended, spread or brush the mixture evenly over the spring roll wrappers. Apply it to both sides of the wrappers.
Place your chocolate covered wrappers on the baking sheet, place in oven and leave until the wrappers are crispy. This usually takes about three minutes or a bit more.
Cool at room temperature then store in an airtight container.
To make the salsa, prepare the fruit by washing, hulling, pitting, peeling, chopping, etc.
Combine the salsa ingredients and refrigerate at least an hour before serving.
