Method for White Chocolate Molten Maple Cakes

First, make the ganache, place the chopped white chocolate in a stainless steel bowl. Heat the whipping cream on the stove top until it simmers. Pour the hot cream over the white chocolate and set aside for five minutes. Stir until smooth.

Preheat the oven to 400 ° F. Butter eight ramekins. Smear the room temperature ganache over 8 dessert places, using 2 tbsp per plate.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the sugar and butter until creamy. Add the maple syrup and mix. Add eggs one at a time. Mix well after each. Add milk, mixing well. Mix the flour and baking powder together and add to batter, mixing until smooth.

Place the batter in the 8 ramekins, using about six tablespoons per ramekin. Put the ramekins on a cookie sheet and place in preheated over.

Bake about 12 minutes. The white chocolate maple sugar molten cakes are done when the edges pull away from the side but the centers are still soft. Remove. Turn each ramekin upside down on a dessert plate that you smeared with ganache. Remove the ramekin.

Pour the rest of the ganache over the cakes and garnish with cherries.
