Death by Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients for Death by Chocolate Cake Recipe

1/4 cup cocoa
1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 quart or liter vanilla ice cream

Your first step is heat the oven to 350°F. Combine sugar and the cocoa, mixing well. Beat the egg yolks and vanilla together until they are thick. Beat the egg whites separately. When they are foamy and light, you can add the salt and then continue beating until they make peaks, as you would do for the meringue on a pie. Then, carefully fold the cocoa mixture into them. Finally, fold the peaking egg whites into the yolk mixture.

Take a cookie sheet, about 10 inches by 15 inches, and butter it before placing wax paper on the inside surface. Place the batter in the pan, level it gently and bake until done. This takes about 20 minutes, give or take.

Sprinkle icing sugar on a towel and slide the cake onto it. Take off the wax paper and slice away any crispy edges. Roll up the cake as you do with a jelly roll, starting from the long end. After a couple of minutes, unroll your death by chocolate cake recipe. Give it a couple of minutes, then roll it up again as you did before. This time you will leave it until it becomes totally cool.

While it is cooling, you can remove the ice cream from the refrigerator so it will get soft enough to work with. Chocolate Sauce

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2/3 cup of boiling water
1 1/2 cup sugar
7 tablespoons of corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla

Place the butter and chocolate together in a heavy sauce pan. Being sure to keep the heat low, you next pour in the boiling water. Mix. Add the sugar and corn syrup. Mix until everything is smooth. Then you bring the sauce to a boil and allow to boil for ten minutes. Do not stir it during this time. After ten minutes, remove it from heat. Cool it for about twenty minutes then you can add the vanilla.
