Chocolate Wonder Cake Recipe

Chocolate Wonder Cake Ingredients

1 1/4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup or four tablespoons of cornstarch
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (four tablespoons)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1/3 cup of vegetable oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ice cream, your choice of flavors. Vanilla, chocolate or strawberry are all good choices. sprigs of mint or edible flours (optional)

Method

You will need a 10 inch springform pan that seals tightly. If you're looking for one, I suggest the Kaiser Bakeware Classic 10-Inch Springform with Flat and Fluted Bases

Preheat your oven to 350°. Put the oven rack in the middle.

Place ALL dry ingredients in the pan and mix to combine.

Pour in the vanilla, vegetable oil, lemon juice and milk. Mix until you have a smooth batter.

Place your wonder chocolate cake in the oven and bake until done. This should take approximately forty minutes.

Cool on a rack for five minutes or more. Serve warm or cool, with ice cream. Garnish your plate with a sprig of mint or edible flowers.
