Chocolate Ice Cream Cake Recipe
This chocolate ice cream cake recipe is fast, easy and good on the budget. Summer's too short for you to spend time cooking, after all. But you won't sacrifice taste, either. This is GOOD!

I've said this many times throughout this web site, but your yummy goodies are so much better when you use quality chocolate or cocoa.
Chocolate Ice Cream Cake
1 cup or unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1 (10-inch) angel food cake. Use a mix or buy one.
6 chocolate peppermint patties, chopped up
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract
1 quart or liter chocolate ice cream
Cut your angel cake into four layers. You will need a sharp knife.
Soften your ice cream. When soft, mix in peppermint candy, nuts and peppermint extract
Smooth the ice cream mix between layers, and on top.
Refrigerate your frozen desert and serve directly from the freezer. It's cool, refreshing and delicious.
