Chocolate Banana Pancake Recipe

You can make one large pancake out of this recipe.


1/3 cup of flour
1 tablespoon rolled oats
2 teaspoons of brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
pinch of salt
1 tablespoon of butter
1 egg
6 tablespoons of yogurt or buttermilk
2 tablespoons of chocolate chips
1/2 cup of banana
1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
Remaining banana

Slice 1/2 cup of banana into thin slices.

Melt the butter.

Mix together the dry ingredients.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg, melted butter and the yogurt together.

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir just to moisten. Do not over mix.

Fold the chocolate chips and the sliced banana into this thick mixture.

Select a non-stick frying pan, add the vegetable oil and heat.

Spread all of the pancake batter into this heated pan, forming a pancake that is about eight inches across.

Cook in the usual way, until the top bubbles. Turn over at that point and continue cooking it browns on the bottom.

Serve your chocolate banana pancake with the rest of the banana and any topping or syrup that you like.
