Recipe for Chocolate Affogato
Affogato is an Italian dessert usually involving coffee and ice cream. This particular recipe for affogato calls for chocolate ice cream and espresso. It's easy to make and absolutely sublime in taste!

Chocolate Affogato Recipe
The recipe makes four servings.
Ingredients
1 pint or 2 cups of top quality chocolate ice cream
1/2 cup whipping cream
grated dark chocolate
Preparation
Whip the whipping cream until soft peaks form.
Set aside four dessert dishes. The dishes you use must be able to handle the hot espresso without cracking.
Spoon one half cup of chocolate ice cream into each dessert dish.
Pour 1/4 cup of hot espresso over each ladle of ice cream.
Top the drowned ice cream with whipped cream and sprinkle with grated chocolate.
This chocolate affogato is a wonderful Valentines Day dessert -- or for any other occasion when you want something cool, rich and delicious.
